Or if this is apparent throughout the game? I would think its a pretty cool feature, depicting the Heir's slow and unholy fall into the horrors of the Darkest Dungeon, similar to how the DD permanently scars the heroes that enter it for life. I went around the town and found out that by using certain facilities There would be flashes of the same tentacles covering the image of the character. Then when I was upgrading skills at the Guild, I noticed the same style of tentacles flash on the image of the two trainers there. Happened one time when I clicked the Darkest Dungeon quest and the hillside flashed an array of Eldritch tentacles in a deep red background (Similar to the trailer when your ancestor "kills" himself.) I thought that was really cool. So, I first noticed (maybe getting jumpscared) by odd images flashing whenever I click certain things. ![]()
